Harlech was a male Human who held the rank of Commander within the Drogheda Royal Guard stationed on the planet of Drogheda. Serving as the most trusted advisor and protector of Queen Sarna, he commanded her armies in 4 ABY against a popular revolutionary force seeking to supplant the existing monarchy with a democratic system. During the final battle of the war at the Drogheda Citadel, the smuggler Lando Calrissian from offworld tried to seize Sarna as a hostage while the rebels were invading the palace. In response, Harlech initiated a coup, commanding his soldiers to eliminate both Lando and the Queen. However, before this could be carried out, the revolutionaries encircled them and demanded Harlech's surrender. Despite his troops already giving up, Harlech chose to fight to the death. As he raised his blaster, he was struck down by a stun blast, preventing his desired heroic final act.
