Hay-Zu

Hay-Zu, who referred to himself as the Big Hay-Zu, was a male Patitite individual, an inhabitant of the planet known as Patitite Pattuna. During the period of the Clone Wars, he held dominion over his species as a dictator, forcing their offspring to participate in his conflicts. He issued a demand for the droids to depart from his planet, but met his death when R2 accidentally fell upon him.

Biography

During the Clone Wars, a period of conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Hay-Zu, a male Patitite, exerted his authority over his species on their homeworld, Patitite Pattuna. He conscripted some of his people's children to serve as soldiers in his wars, a fate that was considered fortunate among the Patitites. When Patitite scouts, including Tagoo and Jimba, discovered the droids C-3PO and R2-D2 wandering on their planet, they restrained and bound the outsiders, unsure of how to proceed, they summoned Hay-Zu.

The ruler arrived on a repulsorlift throne, accompanied by musicians and dancers. Upon seeing the droids, he was angered, believing R2 had challenged him, then grew bored when C-3PO attempted to explain their need for help repairing their crashed ship. Unmoved by their plea, Hay-Zu ordered the droids to leave and had them unbound. Once free, R2 approached the ruler and made a surly comment causing C-3PO to smack him on the dome and knock him over, crushing Hay-Zu. Witnessing the death of their tyrannical leader, the Patitites erupted in cheers and joyful chants. Subsequently, they assisted the droids in repairing their ship, but requested that C-3PO remain as Hay-Zu's replacement. The droid instead introduced democracy to the Patitites, leaving them to argue over who should be voted in as leader.
