Between roughly 8 BBY and 2 BBY, the planet Galator III was the target of the Heist on Galator III. This operation was executed by a crew under the leadership of the rogue Khel Tanna, along with the smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca, acting on orders from the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure. Tanna claimed that Solo and Chewbacca jeopardized the crew's meeting point, nearly resulting in their deaths. Nevertheless, Solo and Chewbacca intervened to stop Tanna's crew from being restrained in shackles, and the heist was ultimately successful.
Following the heist, Tanna, Solo, and Chewbacca traveled to Tatooine to meet with Jabba. Jabba commended Solo for his contributions, much to Tanna's frustration, who challenged why Solo was receiving recognition for the heist's accomplishment when her crew was the one who had carried it out. After their conversation with Jabba concluded, Tanna told Solo that she would not work with him again, and she departed from Jabba's Palace.
