The Hive Palace, a significant stronghold situated on the planet of Cheelit, was under the control of the J'feh Lady Dhol throughout the Galactic Civil War period. Notably, it featured a room specifically built for playing the strategic game known as firepath. On one occasion, the Hive Palace served as the location where Sith Lord Darth Vader arrived following a firepath challenge issued by Lady Dhol. Subsequently, Dhol employed Clat, an assassin from the Guild of Vindicators known as the Shamer, with the intention of assassinating Vader. Clat created a path of slain stormtrooper bodies throughout the Hive Palace's area, but Vader had foreseen Dhol's betrayal and ultimately eliminated both Dhol and Clat within the firepath chamber of the palace.
The comic story Dark Lord's Conscience, penned by Alan Moore and brought to life through the illustrations of John Stokes, featured the Hive Palace. This story initially saw publication in 1982 within The Empire Strikes Back Monthly 155.
