The J'feh were a species of cephalopod distinguished by their red integument and a multitude of tentacles. Typically, individuals of this species resided within sizable, levitating spheres. A J'feh crime lord named Skijid Vrescot, who also held the title of Count of Cheelit, conducted his operations on The Wheel in the final decades of the Galactic Republic. Vrescot was consumed by the rubbery-skinned J'feh after he crossed the Glottalphib piratess [Kliskud], who found him palatable, albeit difficult to masticate. Later, the J'feh Lady Dhol took control of the Hive Palace located on Cheelit, where she attempted to ensnare the Sith Lord Darth Vader within a game of firepath during the Galactic Civil War, but she was instead immolated during the game.
The J'feh first made their debut in the comic book story Dark Lord's Conscience, penned by Alan Moore with illustrations by John Stokes. It was originally published in 1982 within The Empire Strikes Back Monthly 155. However, the species' designation was not established until 2013 in the StarWars.com article "Viva Space Vegas! The History of the Marvelous Wheel," authored by Abel G. Peña and Rich Handley.
