Plot summary

Moving out

Wicket, frustrated by his domestic duties for his mother that kept him from Ewok warrior training, made the decision to vacate the Warrick family dwelling. As he departed the village, Teebo met up with him, and upon realizing he shared Wicket's sentiments, Teebo also resolved to leave his home.

The pair relocated to a dilapidated tree fort situated within the forest, with plans to renovate it. However, friction arose between them as they discovered that their present workload surpassed their previous chores at their respective residences. Since the boys were absent from the village Harvest Festival that evening, Latara and Kneesaa delivered some stew for their supper. Nevertheless, Wicket and Latara engaged in a food-related dispute, resulting in Wicket being covered in stew.

The haunting

As their first night alone neared, Wicket tidied up the fort while Teebo ventured out in search of provisions. Teebo came back, having eaten well, accompanied by his newfound companions—a group of three Kagles. The Kagles, though, opted to depart upon learning that the Ewoks had occupied the premises without seeking authorization from the current property owners, the Shrieks. Despite Teebo's growing apprehension, Wicket insisted that they would remain at their new fort rather than go back to the village.

Meeting Larry

During that night, the Shrieks proceeded to haunt the Ewoks. The fearless Wicket pulled Teebo along as he followed the sounds of the mocking voices, which led them to the interior of the tree housing the fort. Wicket outwitted the Shrieks, and soon discovered that there was only one Shriek—Larry, a solitary three-eyed creature who had also left his home long ago. However, upon Larry's eventual return, he discovered that his people had all relocated. Wicket then experienced a moment of realization and promptly returned to the village, bringing both Teebo and Larry along, and they were all able to partake in the remainder of the Harvest Festival.
