Huck Trompo was a human of male gender. He worked as a pilot within the ranks of the Galactic Empire during the era surrounding the Battle of Yavin. He was a member of Nashtah Squadron, an Imperial Army squadron that utilized TIE/ln space superiority starfighter craft. Trompo and the other members of his squadron took part in the Battle of Portocari, and subsequently gathered for drinks at the Zero Angle, where Trompo found himself in a physical altercation. His wingman and close friend, Sully Olvar, consistently provided him with support.
Jason Fry conceived Huck Trompo for his short story, "Last Call at the Zero Angle", which appeared in Star Wars Insider 156 in the year 2015. The story featured an illustration of Nashtah Squadron by John Van Fleet; however, the specific pilot assigned to each character in the illustration was not made clear in the Insider. Fry subsequently used Twitter to verify the identity of each illustrated character.
