Hynestia Prime, often shortened to Hynestia, was a frigid, tundra-covered planet with a cold environment. This celestial body resided within the Colonies region of the galaxy and was characterized by two moons in orbit around it. The harsh, freezing temperatures meant that only the equatorial zone could support the human inhabitants. Beneath the surface, a network of caves and geothermal hot springs existed.
The Hynestian royal family governed Hynestia. In the time of the High Republic Era, Jedi Master Stellan Gios oversaw a Jedi temple outpost that was established on Hynestia.
