Icehead club

This Icehead club functioned as a wooden bludgeon, wielded by the Icehead species. These Iceheads served as both guards and soldiers for the Snow King, a powerful entity residing within the Snow Palace located on the Forest Moon of Endor. This weapon featured a long, slender design at the cord-wrapped grip, but it curved towards the front, expanding into a paddle-shaped surface designed for striking. When utilized on ice, the club possessed the capability to propel objects across the slick terrain with considerable force. During 3 ABY, both Ewok infiltrators and Icehead soldiers employed Icehead clubs during a battle at the Snow Palace.

Description

The Icehead club served as a close combat weapon characterized by a slim, two-handed handle encased in cord. This grip extended for a length roughly equivalent to half the height of the Icehead wielding it, and curved backward. Subsequently, the club sharply curved forward, culminating in a paddle-like structure at the striking end. Thicker bands of orange material visually defined the weapon's tip, handle, and striking surface. Combatants could wield the Icehead club with both overhand and underhand motions, enabling strikes against targets at close range. When using the underhand technique, Icehead clubs were capable of hitting objects across frozen expanses.

History

The Snow King presents an Icehead club to Wicket W. Warrick for his Belt of Honor.

In 3 ABY, Icehead guards stationed outside the Snow Palace—the abode of a powerful being known as the Snow King—maintained vigilance with an Icehead club carried over their shoulders. Icehead soldiers within the Snow King's throne room also made use of this weapon. That summer, three Ewoks hailing from Bright Tree VillageLatara, Teebo, and Wicket Wystri Warrick—disguised themselves with snow to resemble Iceheads and infiltrated the Snow Palace. Their goal was to rescue their companion, Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka, from the Snow King and his mistress, the Frost Sprite Odra, and to retrieve the season scepter, which the enchanted ruler employed to perpetuate winter on Endor.

Upon reaching the Snow King's throne room, a battle ensued between Icehead forces and the Ewoks. During the conflict, Teebo utilized an Icehead club to deflect attacking Iceheads while sliding on their heads. The Ewoks successfully recovered the season scepter and nullified the enchantment placed upon the Snow King by Odra. As a token of gratitude, the king bestowed upon Warrick an Icehead club to adorn his Belt of Honor.
