The Imperial garrison at Bestine, sometimes called the Imperial fort, functioned as an Imperial garrison. This installation was situated atop a smaller mountain that provided a vantage point overlooking Bestine, the capital city located on the planet of Tatooine.
During the Galactic Civil War period, specifically after the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY, the garrison was active. It served the Galactic Empire as an operational hub. Victor Visalis, the Officer of Defense, supported the garrison, as he aimed to defend Bestine from threats like Tusken Raiders and bandits.
Pfilbee Jhorn held a position as a janitor at the garrison, and he once employed a spacer to eliminate certain pests. Captain [Jasha](/article/jasha], an Imperial recruiter, along with Caleb Knolar, also conducted operations from this fort-like structure.
The Bestine Imperial garrison appeared as a location within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided. This game was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts. The game was shut down on December 15, 2011.
