During the time the Galactic Empire was in power, also known as the reign, a rebellion ignited on the Inner Rim planet of Bestine IV. This conflict saw insurgents, supported by the criminal organization Crimson Dawn, fighting against the forces of the Empire. In the period spanning 3 ABY to 4 ABY, Crimson Dawn engaged the services of T'onga's crew, who were led by the bounty hunter T'onga, tasking them with stopping an Imperial transport. This transport carried the necessary weapons to suppress the insurrection, and was en route to an Imperial naval base stationed on Jahnae. Simultaneously, and without him knowing, Imperial Lieutenant Beilert Valance was spearheading an operation against his former comrade, with the objective of ensuring the very same transport was not intercepted.
