The concept of interdimensional kidnapping appeared within a single-page wanted poster concerning the "Marauder of Endor". This poster was authored by Bob Carrau for the 1993 publication titled Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas. This book combined creature designs and images originating from various endeavors of George Lucas, the mind behind the Star Wars saga, alongside original written content by Carrau. Leland Chee, an employee of Lucasfilm responsible for overseeing the Holocron continuity database, has stated that the details presented in the book are considered non-canonical.
