Within the Intentions division of Alliance Intelligence, a specific department existed known as Interrogation. Its primary function was to question prisoners that had been captured. To this end, Interrogation operated a comprehensively equipped laboratory at both the headquarters of the Alliance and with the Alliance Fleet. Furthermore, each sector base included at least one Interrogation officer as a member of its personnel.
Rather than resorting to the brutal tactics favored by Imperial interrogators, Interrogation officers used an array of methods to get prisoners to reveal information. These included the use of scanners, psychologists, the placement of undercover agents within holding cells, the employment of alien telepaths, the administration of truth drugs, and even the implication of potential violence. These officers were known for their effectiveness and efficiency in extracting information from those they questioned.
Interrogation officers were often present, though concealed as aides to the Alliance Civil Government, during critical diplomatic discussions. Their role was to analyze the nonverbal cues, such as body language and facial expressions, of the other delegation members to identify any instances of deception.
Ejagga Pakkpekatt was a member of the Interrogation section of Alliance Intelligence. He was tasked with handling the most resistant Imperial prisoners held by the Alliance. In this role, he leveraged his Hortek telepathic abilities, along with his skills in intimidation, to obtain information that was beyond the reach of standard interrogators.
