Ejagga Pakkpekatt served as a Hortek officer within the ranks of New Republic Intelligence.
Pakkpekatt's career began with a position in the Interrogation Department of Alliance Intelligence. In this role, he was assigned to the most resistant Imperial prisoners held by the Alliance. He utilized his Hortek telepathic abilities, in conjunction with intimidation techniques, to extract information beyond the reach of standard interrogators.
Following the establishment of the New Republic, he was reassigned to the Special Threats Division of New Republic Intelligence. Known for his stern demeanor, Pakkpekatt was not well-liked by some members of the Council on Security and Intelligence (CSI).
Due to his strong hunting skills and impressive performance history, Colonel Pakkpekatt was given command in 16 ABY of the mission tasked with intercepting the Teljkon Vagabond. Almost immediately, Pakkpekatt found himself in conflict with General Lando Calrissian, who was dispatched by Admiral Hiram Drayson under the pretense of representing the Defense Fleet. After Calrissian and his team boarded the Vagabond against Pakkpekatt's explicit orders, the colonel attempted to pursue them when it vanished near Gmar Askilon. When the CSI recalled the majority of his task force for service in the Koornacht Cluster, Pakkpekatt assembled a volunteer crew aboard the Lady Luck to undertake a rescue mission for Calrissian, Lobot, C-3PO, and R2-D2. Pakkpekatt and his crew located the Vagabond through a slave circuit, and subsequently endured a series of hyperspace jumps, ultimately arriving at Brath Qella, where the mystery surrounding the Vagabond was finally revealed.
