Introsphere, active in the Gorse system near the end of the Galactic Republic era, was a mining corporation. They conducted surface extraction on the planet Gorse. Following a damning assessment from Minerax Consulting alleging the depletion of all thorilide deposits on Gorse, Introsphere declared bankruptcy. Unbeknownst to most, Denetrius Vidian, an Imperial mining advisor, secretly held shares in Minerax. The issuance of the negative report stemmed from Introsphere's failure to pass Vidian's safety checks during his previous role as mining inspector, known then as Lemuel Tharsa. Before his transformation into the cyborg Count Vidian, Tharsa endured the debilitating effects of Shilmer's syndrome.
Vidian's machinations led to a complete relocation of mining activities within the Gorse system to Cynda, Gorse's moon abundant in thorilide, which had previously thrived as a tourist hotspot. Moonglow Polychemical, an organization spun off from Introsphere, was established by Lal Grallik, a twenty-year Introsphere company man.
