The Vong have captured Finn's mother and sister, while his father remained behind as part of a rearguard action, facilitating the refugees' departure.
Currently, Finn resides within the New Jedi Temple situated on Yavin 4, where he is slated to commence his Jedi instruction—yet his true aspiration lies in re-engaging in combat!
