Ja'inn was a Twi'lek female who resided in Coronet City on the planet Corellia during the time of the Galactic Civil War. In the year 1 ABY, Moril, a Bothan smuggler who was one of her contacts, was commissioned to transport unusual goods to a group whose identity he kept secret. Moril exhibited peculiar behavior, appeared quite frightened, and declined to share any specifics with her. Concerned about the Bothan's well-being, Ja'inn informed Lieutenant Joth of the Corellian Security Force about their conversation. Consequently, Joth dispatched a spacer to question Moril, which ultimately led to the CorSec discovering an illegal lab that specialized in the bio-engineering of creatures through hazardous genetic experimentation.
Ja'inn appeared as a non-player character within Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game from 2003. This video game was developed by Sony Online Entertainment, published by LucasArts, and eventually shut down on December 15, 2011. She was introduced to the game on April 26, 2006, with the release of "Publish 28."
