Javelin (corvette group)
Javelin refers to a squadron of four Corellian CR90 corvettes that were utilized by the forces of the Galactic Empire.
History
These corvettes, operating alongside several stormtrooper transports, participated in a military engagement with the objective of seizing a B-wing prototype associated with the Shantipole Project. Although the initial prototype lacked weaponry, the subsequent version possessed armaments and successfully provided a protective screen for both the Verpine corvette named Shantipole and the Lambda-class shuttle known as the Falcon that was intended to retrieve Admiral Ackbar. Ultimately, the prototype, supported by a contingent of X-wings, annihilated all of the Imperial corvettes and transports, thereby enabling the Shantipole's successful escape. This particular incident was documented and reconstructed as a training exercise for prospective Rebel pilots.
