JF Boivin, also known as Jean-François Boivin or Jeff Boivin, is an author. He worked with Abel G. Peña on Echoes of the Jedi, the fourth adventure in the Dawn of Defiance campaign. He also helped start the Star Wars Fanboy Association, and from 2000 until 2010, he wrote comic reviews for TheForce.net. Recently, Boivin wrote essays for Sequart's books A Long Time Ago: Exploring the Star Wars Cinematic Universe ("In Trouble Again: The Joys and Woes of Ewoks and Droids") and A Galaxy Far, Far Away: Exploring Star Wars Comics ("The Third Dimension of Star Wars: Blackthorne's 3-D Series").
Boivin received acknowledgements in Ann Margaret Lewis's The Essential Guide to Alien Species and Ryder Windham's Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force.
