Obi-Wan Kenobi did not choose Anakin Skywalker as his apprentice, as Anakin is aware. Instead, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan's own Master, requested it on his deathbed, which led to their partnership. Now, Anakin is questioning his Master's dedication, while Obi-Wan is beginning to doubt his ability to be as effective a Master as Qui-Gon.
Bearing these concerns, the Master and apprentice embark on a training exercise that quickly escalates into a fight for survival. A group of bounty hunters has been contracted to capture the Jedi, and they are prepared to do whatever it takes. Anakin and Obi-Wan must evade the traps and ambushes while attempting to uncover the identity of the person orchestrating the deadly Jedi hunt.
