The Jehavey'ir-type assault ship, drawing its name from the Mando'a term signifying "ambush", saw service with the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders throughout the duration of the Mandalorian Wars.

Displaying a visual similarity to the Mandalorian Kyramud-type battleships of the same era, due to their shared foundation in Basilisk technology, the assault ships utilized five engines for propulsion. Their armament consisted of medium double turbolasers, powerful ion cannons, and super-heavy concussion missile launchers. A key feature of these assault ships was their always-charged weaponry, enabling immediate engagement upon exiting hyperspace. Rather than incorporating landing bays, they featured specialized airlocks designed for the swift deployment of troops to board enemy vessels.
Vessels of this classification were involved in the Battle of Vanquo, and subsequently, in the bombardment of Serroco during the Battle of Serroco. Following an extended pursuit, Neo-Crusader Shock Troopers originating from a Jehavey'ir-type assault ship successfully captured the Republic flagship, the Courageous.
