Jibuto, a very old city, resided on the dry planet called Rajtiri. It was thought that Jibuto flourished because Rajtiri produced and nurtured a greater number of smugglers than any other place outside of Hutt Space. The city's horizon was characterized by impressive spires, ornate parapets, massive domes, and gigantic pavilions. Jibuto boasted an abundance of casinos, hotels, and cantinas, including the Wanton Wellspring, a small, unassuming place situated in the heart of the city.
Jibuto gained considerable recognition for its detailed mausoleums, which were as expansive as large houses. These were built for fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters who had died while performing illegal acts and were celebrated as heroes. The tombs displayed towers, spires, tiled cupolas, belfries, battlements, and crenellations. The tombs were distinguished by holopresences of the dead and constantly playing 3-D epitaphs, with these expensive tributes being as skillfully created as certain popular forms of entertainment. Besides the holopresences, the burial sites were decorated with gifts of new flowers or containers of food and beverages.
During the Imperial Era, the city hosted an Imperial garrison, where stormtroopers implemented regulations that the local police had previously overlooked.
