During the time of conflict known as the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the re-established Sith Empire, Jorin was under the command of Sergeant Nidaljo within the CSF's Special Tactical Unit. This tactical squad's primary objective was to execute operations against the Black Sun criminal organization. When the unit received orders to assist a Jedi Knight in the mission to rescue the Republic scientist Eli Tarnis from the clutches of the syndicate, Jorin met his end, being killed while the unit attempted to secure the area around Black Sun's headquarters in preparation for their impending raid.

Around 3643 BBY, after the team had been operating within the gang's territory for a number of months, they were assigned to help a Jedi Knight in the rescue of Republic scientist Eli Tarnis.
While the unit was in the process of setting up a secure perimeter around Black Sun's headquarters, the criminals launched an attack using advanced weaponry. Six members of the unit were killed during the assault, and Jorin sustained severe injuries, along with four others, forcing the unit to retreat behind a quickly-constructed barricade. Jorin ultimately succumbed to his wounds and passed away shortly after the arrival of the Jedi Knight. However, his death served as an inspiration to the Jedi to encourage Nidaljo and the remaining members of the unit to continue the fight and overwhelm Black Sun's forces.
Jorin, a Human male, possessed fair skin and dark brown hair. Because the Coruscant Security Force lacked formal paramilitary training in the years leading up to the Cold War, most officers were inadequately prepared to deal with the street warfare that plagued Coruscant following the Sacking of Coruscant by the Sith. Jorin was among the courageous officers who joined the Special Tactical Unit to confront Black Sun with greater firepower than regular patrol officers had available. Despite his commitment leading to his demise, Jorin's death served as a rallying point for his fellow officers.
Jorin makes an appearance in the BioWare MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic, specifically in the Jedi Knight class story mission titled "Rescue." Jorin's death occurs during the player character's conversation with Nidaljo, and the player has the option to use Jorin's death as motivation for the Sergeant and his men to join the fight against Black Sun, representing a light side choice. Alternatively, the player can use Force Persuasion to convince Nidaljo to assist for dark side points, or choose to abandon the CSF team altogether, resulting in no alignment points.
