Josat was a Human Padawan in the New Jedi Order, and of the male gender. To refine his skills in the art of Force healing, he was apprenticed to the Jedi Knight named Tekli. Following the rescue of Valin and Jysella Horn from the Galactic Alliance and their subsequent unfreezing from carbonite in 44 ABY, Josat took care of them. He was assigned to monitor them for any lingering effects of the Force psychosis that had turned them into pawns of the Force entity known as Abeloth. While caring for them, he intentionally let slip clues regarding their location within the temple and repeatedly positioned his Lightsaber (though it was a decoy that released gas) within their grasp. Sadly, the Horns remained under Abeloth's control because the carbonite had maintained their link to her, and they were merely waiting for the opportune moment.
Josat possessed an exceptionally loquacious nature, making him the ideal candidate for this particular assignment. He demonstrated a remarkable talent for weaving subtle suggestions into his speech, all while masking them with a continuous stream of conversation covering topics ranging from political matters to the finer points of mopping floors.
