Jungle Felucians were a sentient species of amphibians that were primitive in nature. These beings were from Felucia, a planet located in the Outer Rim Territories. These individuals were sensitive to the constant fluctuations of the Force on their homeworld. For the most part, Jungle Felucians preferred isolation, but when the Gossam arrived, the Jungle Felucians were forced into seclusion in the dense forests of the planet.
Within the updated Star Wars canon, the Jungle Felucians received a mention in the 2015 publication, Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon 21. Originally, this species was conceptualized for the 2008 Star Wars Legends Star Wars: The Force Unleashed video game and the associated multimedia project. Even before the game's launch in October of 2007, they were referenced in an article from The Force Unleashed Preview series, which was released by Wizards of the Coast on their website to advertise their forthcoming Star Wars Miniatures series, themed after The Force Unleashed-themed.
