The Juris sector represented a sector of space within the galaxy, and it included the world Qeimet. During 3 ABY, the Death Squadron of the Galactic Empire was positioned within this sector, close to Qeimet, when they obtained information about a Rebel Alliance base situated on the planet Hoth, thanks to a probe droid.
This sector initially featured in the movie Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back released in 1980. Its designation as the Juris sector within canonically was established in the 2021 publication The Odyssey of Star Wars: An Epic Poem. Within the Star Wars Legends timeline, the Juris sector was originally named in the 1994 sourcebook titled Galaxy Guide 10: Bounty Hunters.
