JV-P12
JV-P12 was an HVAC droid of blue color and boxy design, equipped with a pair of legs. This droid was compelled to labor within the Pyke Syndicate's spice mines located on the planet Kessel throughout the Galactic Empire's reign. During the year 10 BBY, JV-P12 achieved liberation from slavery when its restraining bolt was disengaged amidst a slave revolt that ignited within the mines, instigated by the droid known as L3-37. Following its newfound freedom, JV-P12 contributed to the destruction of the Pykes' machinery by forcefully stomping upon a control panel situated in the mine's control center.
Behind the scenes
JV-P12's initial appearance occurred in the 2018 motion picture, Solo: A Star Wars Story. Its identification was first established in the companion reference material, Solo: A Star Wars Story The Official Guide, authored by Pablo Hidalgo. Hassan Taj was the actor responsible for the character's performance.
