Kalikori village, a Twi'lek community, existed on the Deep Core planet of Tython during the Cold War period between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. This village, considered an unauthorized establishment, was founded by a faction of Pilgrims who disregarded the Senate's denial of their request to colonize the planet.
The settlement known as Kalikori village, taking its name from the Twi'leki term signifying "beginning," was founded around 3651 BBY. This occurred shortly after the Jedi Order's arrival on Tython, their ancestral world. A group of Twi'lek Pilgrims, whose home planets were devastated in the Great Galactic War, appealed to the Galactic Senate for permission to create a colony on this recently rediscovered planet. However, the Senate rejected their request, citing the planet's largely unexplored nature and potential dangers. Ignoring this decision, the Twi'leks proceeded to establish their colony regardless. These colonists arrived in a valley situated within the Tythos Ridge, a mountain range located just east of the Jedi Temple which was still under construction. There, they initiated a small camp, which, over the subsequent decade, evolved into a substantial village.
Positioned at the boundary of the native Flesh Raiders' territory, the Twi'leks resented the Jedi Order, who declined to provide protection due to the illegal status of their settlement. Despite the Jedi High Council's condemnation of their presence, numerous Padawan learners would visit the camp to engage with the Twi'lek matriarch.
During the time of the Eternal Empire conquest across the galaxy, Jedi Master Gnost-Dural established a Jedi colony on Ossus to safeguard the Jedi order. Many Twi'leks from Kalikori joined this Jedi colony.
