Kaminoan denoted the language utilized by the sentient Kaminoan species originating from the planet called Kamino. While the majority of this species exclusively communicated in Kaminoan, individuals interacting with beings from other worlds were both instructed and biologically adapted to use Galactic Basic Standard and other forms of communication.
The Kaminoan language initially received a mention within the current Star Wars canon through Rise of the Separatists. This book was a 2019 addition to the Star Wars role-playing game line from Fantasy Flight Games. Its beginnings are found in the Star Wars Legends universe, initially appearing within the 2002 children's book Boba Fett: The Fight to Survive, penned by Terry Bisson.
