The Keshiri resistance was a movement among the Keshiri, spearheaded by Adari Vaal, with the core objective of expelling the Lost Tribe of Sith from Kesh and reinstating the Neshtovar's power. This group met its end in 4975 BBY when Nida Korsin purged the resistance; Vaal and a number of survivors were forced into exile, with the remaining members being killed.
Around 5000 BBY, a Sith group experienced a crash landing on the planet Kesh, leaving them marooned. They encountered the indigenous Keshiri, many of whom regarded the Sith as their gods, known as the Skyborn. Consequently, the Keshiri willingly accepted Sith dominion. However, within fifteen years following the Sith's arrival, a significant number of Keshiri—including Adari Vaal, the initial Keshiri contact—developed strong opposition to the Sith presence. As a result, they established the resistance with the intention of undermining the Sith on Kesh, compelling their departure, and liberating the Keshiri species.
While the resistance did not directly orchestrate the Red Sith Purge—an elimination of all Red Sith on Kesh—they secretly offered their support. A decade years later, in 4975 BBY, Vaal prepared the resistance to strike against the Sith to weaken their control over Kesh by seizing their uvak. However, Nida Korsin, daughter of Grand Lord Yaru Korsin, uncovered their scheme and thwarted it. Consequently, numerous Keshiri within the resistance, including Vaal, were driven into exile, while the rest were killed. The Keshiri population remained subjugated to the Sith for thousands of years, gradually attaining some degree of equality, which included the opportunity for Force-sensitive individuals to become members of the Tribe.
Around 3960 BBY, the Keshiri servants had a legend of the Keshiri resistance's flight, with the moral being that it was not their right to determine their destiny, but the Sith's right to do so. Nonetheless, the Sith Saber Orielle Kitai considered the exiled Keshiri to be the greatest Keshiri ever because they denied the Sith that right.
