Kevin James Anderson is a highly productive writer of science fiction and the creative mind behind The Jedi Academy Trilogy of books. This trilogy detailed Luke Skywalker's initial efforts to establish a Jedi training program on Yavin 4, while also introducing characters like Kyp Durron and Admiral Daala. In collaboration with his wife, Rebecca Moesta, he also co-authored the Young Jedi Knights series. During the time he was writing his early Star Wars novels, he engaged with his fanbase through participation in the FidoNet Star Wars Echo.
Anderson also made contributions to the Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi comic book series, and has penned a large number of short stories.
