The Kezarat, a tanker, functioned as the command ship for the Kezarat Convoy of the Byne Guild. On the very day that the Great Hyperspace Disaster occurred, the Kezarat, along with the remainder of its convoy, vanished after making the jump to hyperspace, but not before transmitting an incomprehensible communication. In the period spanning 3 ABY to 4 ABY, individuals belonging to the Alliance to Restore the Republic, under the leadership of Amilyn Holdo, embarked on a mission to locate the Kezarat Convoy because they required fuel. Subsequent to obtaining a Nihil Path engine, Holdo inputted the scrambled transmission originating from the Kezarat into the engine. While being pursued by TIE fighters, the engine sprang to life, relocating them to the dimension known as No-Space.
