Kleyvits, an elderly Selonian female with fur tinged with gray, was incapable of reproduction. Representing the Overden, the governing body of the Selonians, she served as their spokesperson. Possessing a composed and logical demeanor, she was known for her sharp mind, yet she displayed a level of cunning that was atypical for a Selonian.
Serving as a diplomat and delegate for her political group, Kleyvits aimed to unite all of Selonia under a unified banner of independence from the New Republic, including the rogue Hunchuzuc Den and their associates. This movement, known as the Absolutists, sought to eliminate all non-Selonian influences from the planet.
However, the Overden guarded a dark secret: they had formed an alliance with the Selonians of the Sacorrian Triad, a group of off-worlders who were descendants of a disgraced den exiled long ago. Their dishonor was so profound that they created a new den with a new name, as their original name had become an insult. Kleyvits worked diligently to conceal this alliance in order to achieve unity among all Selonians. Selonians are inherently honest, unfamiliar with deception and perplexed by it. Kleyvits found herself unable to openly lie about the alliance, and even the act of keeping it hidden brought great shame upon her.
When Dracmus, acting as the representative of the Hunchuzuc Den, arrived on Selonia alongside Han Solo, Leia Organa Solo, and Mara Jade, serious negotiations commenced between the Overden and their adversaries. Each faction sought to demonstrate the inevitability of their own viewpoint and persuade the other to conform. Kleyvits initially held the advantage: her faction was larger, controlled the planetary repulsor on Selonia, and their advocacy for independence from the New Republic resonated more strongly with the Selonian mindset.
Han, Leia, and Mara were held captive and interrogated for a period, but through their combined intellect, they deduced that the Overden must have received external assistance to operate the repulsor. During an interrogation session, Han Solo questioned Kleyvits about who was controlling the planetary repulsor on Selonia, placing her in an awkward position where she could not provide an answer. Seizing the opportunity, Dracmus demanded to know the truth, and the balance of power shifted as Kleyvits, exposed as a deceiver, recoiled and confessed that her allies were the Selonians of the Triad. From that moment forward, the Overden and the Absolutists lost their psychological advantage, and the proponents of the New Republic rose to prominence.
