The Korun were a people residing on the Mid Rim planetary body of Haruun Kal, which was the original place of origin for Jedi Master Mace Windu.
Following the conclusion of the Clone Wars by some time, the Korun initiated an Insurrection on Haruun Kal in opposition to the newly formed Galactic Empire. These Korun rebels launched assaults from the trees within the jungles of Haruun Kal during the night. They utilized basic projectile weapons that struggled to penetrate stormtrooper armor, alongside explosive devices that proved more effective.
The Korunnai were initially presented within the Star Wars Legends storyline in the 2003 published book titled Shatterpoint. Within the Legends continuity, the Korunnai were defined as a group of Humans that included Jedi Master Mace Windu. The primary distinction between Korunnai and Humans appears to be the significantly increased proportion of individuals sensitive to the Force among the Korunnai.
