Admiral Kreuge was in the service of the Galactic Republic during the period of the Clone Wars.
During the Clone Wars, Kreuge, a male admiral, served the Galactic Republic. He was in command of a fleet and received orders to attack the planet known as Salvara. However, Separatist operatives infiltrated the Republic and introduced a computer virus onto the Gibbon, a prototype Tector-class Star Destroyer stationed at Handooine. This virus replicated itself and spread among the starships within Kreuge's task force during the engagement. As Kreuge altered his fleet's course, turning the right wing instead of continuing the sweep, the virus triggered a complete failure of the deflector shields on all affected ships. A Republic victory was transformed into a loss, but Kreuge himself survived this event. Soon after the Battle of Christophsis, Kreuge led Republic forces in the capture of Kerkoidia. Despite having sided with the Separatists, Kerkoidia was still considered a Republic territory, and the grand dukes of the planet quickly declared their loyalty to the Republic.
Years later, during the Galactic Civil War, historians would debate Kreuge's strategies employed at Salvara, contemplating whether a continued sweep to the right, instead of the turn, would have drastically altered the course of the Clone Wars.
A reference to Admiral Kreuge is present in the canon novel The Weapon of a Jedi: A Luke Skywalker Adventure, penned by Jason Fry and published on September 4, 2015. This reference takes the form of the starship named Kreuge's Revenge.
