Kristiss, a Petrusian woman, spearheaded a band of rebels and contrabandists in opposition to the Galactic Empire residing on Kullgroon. Kristiss and her team collaborated to liberate her male parent, Rythus, along with other captives, from the Imperial garrison located on Kullgroon. Her father implored Kristiss to acquire weaponry for himself and the other enslaved individuals, enabling them to overwhelm the stormtrooper security detail stationed at the garrison before reinforcements materialized. Following a lapse in communication with her father, Kristiss realized her team required assistance in clandestinely transporting weapons past the Imperial stormtroopers.
Kristiss opted to solicit aid from the Captain Lando Calrissian, a smuggler, even though his services were expensive. Subsequently, she journeyed to Batuv with the intention of locating Calrissian.
