The Kuranu were a race of sentient beings, identified by their smooth purple skin and the absence of pupils in their eyes. A notable characteristic of this species was their intense, nearly obsessive, aversion to germs. Mantessa Chekkat, the famed inventor, and her offspring, Klerin, both of whom existed in the time of the High Republic Era, were members of the Kuranu.
