Klerin Chekkat, daughter to Mantessa Chekkat and a Kuranu female, created a four-seven nullifier using recainium; this device was intended to be sold by the pair at the Valo Republic Fair.
A Kuranu female named Klerin Chekkat acted as if she was a less skilled inventor compared to her mother, Mantessa Chekkat. In order to have protection while attending the Republic Fair located on the planet Valo, the pair employed Ty Yorrick, a Tholothian mercenary. On their way to the fair, Klerin showed Yorrick that she was attracted to them while playing with the large bangle that she wore on her wrist. This bangle, while appearing to be nothing more than jewelry, was actually a four-seven nullifier that was powered by the illicit substance recainium and capable of disrupting energy weapons like lightsabers and blasters. Despite Klerin being the device's inventor, her mother presented herself as the true inventor during a meeting with Tia Toon, a Sullustan Senator, to discuss selling it to his Defense Force Program. Toon turned down the offer to purchase the device, and he had Mantessa and Yorrick imprisoned due to their possession of recainium on the planet. The two were able to get away, but became separated when Nihil marauders attacked the Valo Republic Fair; shortly after the mother and daughter reunited, Mantessa suffered death by a hragscythe that had managed to escape from the Lonisa City Zoo.
