47 lightsaber nullifier

The 47 lightsaber nullifier, alternatively referred to as the four-seven nullifier or lightsaber stifling technology, represented an experimental invention designed to disable energy-based weapons. This included blasters and the lightsabers wielded by the Jedi, rendering them inoperable. Its power source was a core comprised of recainium, a hazardous and prohibited material. Klerin Chekkat engineered a prototype of this device during the High Republic Era, although her mother, Mantessa Chekkat, falsely asserted ownership of the creation. The elder Chekkat transported the prototype to the Republic Fair situated on the planet Valo, with the intention of selling it to Galactic Republic senator Tia Toon. Senator Toon had been advocating for a shift away from the Jedi Order's exclusive role as protectors of the Republic. Chekkat's assumption was that Toon would desire the nullifier for its capacity to neutralize Jedi combatants. However, Toon's stance did not equate to opposition to the Jedi, leading him to decline the offer. Furthermore, the device's recainium core emitted radiation into the surrounding environment, prompting Toon to instruct Chekkat to deactivate it. When the Nihil marauders attacked the fair, Klerin Chekkat falsely informed the Republic that the raiders had stolen the device's schematics. Subsequently, she attempted to sell the Nihil a smaller version powered by tolium.

Melis Shryke, a Nihil warlord, deployed a 47 lightsaber nullifier aboard her Stormship, named the Cacophony, during the capture of Jedi Grand Master Pra-Tre Veter. However, the device was destroyed in the process.
