Sullustans, a species of humanoids, originated on the planet of Sullust. They excelled in areas such as manufacturing, technological and scientific advancement, and economic matters, demonstrated by their establishment of the successful SoroSuub Corporation.

Residing on the planet Sullust, these humanoids, known as Sullustans, were characterized by distinctive jowl flaps on their cheeks, coupled with sizable, mouse-like eyes usually dark and luminous. Their large ears were another notable trait. To cover their broad heads, the species often wore native headwear; the renowned Sullustan Alliance and Resistance pilot Nien Nunb modified one such piece for use as a flight helmet. Sullustese, their native language, was a quickly spoken, flowing form of communication.

During the Galactic Civil War against the Galactic Empire, numerous Sullustans chose to serve as pilots within the Alliance to Restore the Republic, including Nien Nunb, previously an arms dealer and smuggler. Many Sullustans were recruited by the Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry when they liberated Pinyumb, Sullust's capital, from the Empire's control.
The rise of the First Order served as a stark reminder of the past Imperial occupation for some Sullustans. Splinter groups, equipped with stolen technology, departed from Sullust to join the Resistance.
At the Enlightenment bar on Jedha, the Sullustan named Piralli frequented the establishment and always occupied the same stool. Nien Nunb, a Sullustan smuggler, participated in the conflicts of the Rebel Alliance and, later, the Resistance.
