La-ley dancers constituted a specific class of performer. The battle droid known as Mister Bones received programming from his creator, Temmin Wexley, which included body-mapped movements based on a troupe of la-ley dancers originating from the planet of Ryloth, in addition to various combat routines.
The initial reference to La-ley dancers appeared in the Aftermath novel, authored by Chuck Wendig and published in 2015.
