Lajaie's cruiser

Commander Lajaie was in command of a Mon Calamari cruiser that belonged to the Alliance to Restore the Republic. This cruiser met its end during an Imperial attack that occurred at the Mako-Ta Space Docks.

History

Lajaie's cruiser evacuates

The Alliance to Restore the Republic gained a Mon Calamari cruiser when it joined their ranks. This cruiser served as the flagship for Beta Group, which was under the leadership of Commander Lajaie. Mako-Ta Space Docks served as the base for Beta Group, and their cruisers underwent modifications for combat there. However, as they attempted to depart, their hyperdrives malfunctioned. The reason for this problem soon materialized in the shape of Darth Vader and his personal fleet, Death Squadron. The Executor, Vader's flagship, obliterated General Vanden Willard's flagship Yavin's Hope, before targeting the remaining ships. Lajaie identified a possible solution for the rebels to reactivate their hyperdrives, but the intense turbolaser fire had already overwhelmed his cruiser. He gave the order for the crew to abandon ship as the cruiser disintegrated.
