Larik, a male human from the planet Raxus Secundus, held the position of senator in the Galactic Republic's Senate. His own guards orchestrated a coup, aiming to exploit him for the benefit of Raxus, due to his deeply ingrained corruption. Ultimately, after revealing their plot to Jedi Masters Dooku and Mace Windu, he met his death at the hands of these same guards.
Sometime between the years of 68 BBY and 42 BBY, Larik served as the representative for the Outer Rim world of Raxus Secundus in the Senate. During his tenure, he exploited his senatorial power to amass personal wealth at the expense of his planet, facilitating its industrialization by off-world corporations. Eventually, his corrupt dealings were uncovered by a faction of his own security detail, led by an individual named Semage. This group had previously ambushed and killed Larik's Jedi protector, Master Katri, who was a member of the prestigious Jedi Council. However, Semage and his co-conspirators chose to spare Larik's life, intending to coerce him into implementing their own policies at the upcoming Senate session, with the goal of reversing the damage he had inflicted upon Raxus.
When Jedi Masters Mace Windu and Count Dooku arrived on Raxus Secundus to investigate the demise of Master Katri, a member of the Council, they were greeted by a local official. He then escorted them to meet with the senator. Larik informed the Jedi that Katri had been ambushed and that he was present during the event. The two Jedi were suspicious of his account due to his uncomfortable demeanor. However, Mace Windu decided that he and Dooku should adhere to their original plan, focusing solely on retrieving Katri's remains rather than launching a comprehensive investigation.
Upon reaching the location where Katri was killed, the Jedi discovered evidence suggesting the involvement of multiple assailants and the absence of any blaster damage on the ship. When Dooku ignited his lightsaber and demanded the truth, a panicked Larik confessed that his guards had murdered Master Katri. Before he could reach Windu and Dooku, he was fatally shot.
