Lassar, a clone trooper veteran of the Grand Army of the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars, was known as "Jogan," a moniker derived from the name of the fruit called jogan. Following the transformation of the Republic into the Galactic Empire, the clone soldiers were eventually retired and substituted with volunteer stormtroopers. Despite his displeasure with this change, Lassar transitioned into a teaching role at the Imperial Academy located on Eriadu.
Upon the arrival of a farmer's son at the Academy, Lassar immediately developed a strong aversion towards him. He ridiculed the new cadet's below-average stature and instructed the other trainees to strike him in the ribs each day.
Standing at 1.83 meters in height, Lassar was a clone originating from Jango Fett. He held the belief that enlisted soldiers were inferior and defective, and he fostered a culture of mistreatment among the cadets.
