Leia Organa II was a droid replica of a Human, constructed to resemble the Human Leia Organa. This droid was a product of Project Decoy, overseen by the engineers Fandar and Fugo. Her programming designated her as a SPIN operative, intended to impersonate Leia during perilous assignments.
The design of Leia II enabled her to replicate Leia Organa's speech, movements, and behavior. Furthermore, she possessed potent blasters that were projected from her eyes' pupils. An accidental discharge during a demonstration almost resulted in Fandar's death. Fugo subsequently identified the cause of the malfunction as an inaccurate sensor frequency and blast range. The droid also included a tracking device, enabling it to sense Leia's unique biological signals and locate her across vast distances.
Leia II participated in a mission to save Leia after she was captured by Trioculus, who had developed an infatuation with her and sought to sway her to the dark side. Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian, and the Jedi Prince Ken successfully exchanged Leia with Leia II just before the wedding ceremony commenced. The droid eliminated Trioculus with a blaster shot the instant he was within firing range. Shortly thereafter, Grand Moff Bertroff Hissa responded with blaster fire, resulting in her destruction.
