Lexi Dio was a type of assault bomber employed by the Alliance to Restore the Republic. This spacecraft was named after Senator Lexi Dio. During the events of 1 BBY, it participated in a defense operation alongside other Rebel starships, such as Captain Juno Eclipse's flagship, the Salvation, against an Imperial attack. This attack targeted a Rebel fleet that was concealed in proximity to the Itani Nebula. The Lexi Dio met its end as the first casualty of the battle. Seven smaller vessels initiated an assault on the Rebel starships, and although already heavily damaged, four of the ships fired missiles at Lexi Dio, resulting in its complete destruction from front to back. The sudden decompression caused the deaths of all crew members. In response to this devastating attack, Captain Eclipse issued orders for the fleet to scatter.
The The Force Unleashed II novelization, penned by Sean Williams and released in 2010, featured Lexi Dio. While the video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, which launched in the same year, showcases numerous starships within the fleet, it lacks any explicit reference to the Lexi Dio.
