A liana referred to a type of woody vine. These vines developed and climbed on trees found in the rain forest of Kirtania. Due to their visual resemblance to jungle slinkers, they were commonly confused.
This specific vine thrived amidst the unique (and largely carnivorous) plant and animal life within Gardulla the Hutt's pleasure garden. This garden was located in her Tatooine palace, which was situated close to the Dune Sea.
