Lina Zev

Lina Zev, a Human woman, served as a decoy for Jedi Knight Jaina Solo. This ruse was orchestrated to mislead journalist [Javis Tyrr], allowing Solo and Imperial Remnant Head of State [Jagged Fel]—whose own decoy was Karn Valanti—to enjoy a private evening. Zev and Valanti engaged in casual conversation at the Indigo Tower, attempting to convincingly portray Solo and Fel. Regrettably, Tyrr quickly detected her deception due to subtle differences in her facial features compared to Solo. Nevertheless, their charade bought enough time for Solo and Fel to retreat to a secluded inn on the other side of the planet, where they could dine undisturbed.

Known by the code name "Curved", Zev belonged to Darkmeld. This clandestine group was established by Solo to subvert the anti-Jedi agenda of Chief of State [Natasi Daala].

Production Notes

Christie Golden conceived Lina Zev for Fate of the Jedi: Omen, which marked her debut in Star Wars novel writing and served as the second installment in the nine-book Fate of the Jedi saga. Golden later referenced Zev in her short story Getaway, which appeared in issue 134 of Star Wars Insider magazine in 2012. Notably, Zev's last name was erroneously written as "Zek" in the story.
