Lo, a young boy of the male persuasion, resided on a planet that remains unidentified. Jedi Master Yoda intended to bring him to Coruscant so that he could commence his Jedi training. However, before the Jedi could retrieve Lo, he was captured and held captive by the Flesh Mongers, a group of pirates headed by Alorg. They kept him in their lair which was located on the planet of Botor. Yoda arrived on Botor, and engaged in a brief conflict with the pirates while rescuing Lo. Soon thereafter, Qui-Gon Jinn and his padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, landed on the planet. Yoda then entrusted them with the responsibility of escorting Lo to Coruscant.
