Loathe was a humanoid of the male gender who served as an assassin for the Kouhun, a clandestine organization comprised of murderous fanatics. As the Iron Blockade commenced, he was employed by Earl Alner, an individual within the Noble Court of the Anoat sector, who exploited the resulting disorder to dispatch his adversaries. Loathe, acting on Alner's instructions, brought about the death of Earl Roubek and Duke Misaani.
